The phased works consisted of a number of work areas which allowed for relocation of the British Transport Police and Arriva trains wales, allowing for full restoration and alterations to historic station buildings to create a gateway to the Chester Central Business Quarter leading from Chester station. The works included careful restoration of brick and stone structures, whilst upgrading to provide a modern public realm area and maintaining historic station building features.
