Ysgol Tir Morfa, Y Rhyl
Client: Denbighshire County Council
Denbighshire County Council awarded both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the new build extensions to the existing school at Tir Morfa, to MPH Construction. The project provided expansion to the school so that the requirement of providing Key Stage 1 and 2 Special Needs teaching could be met.
The project provided the school with further classrooms, toilet and shower areas, kitchen, hall and dinning room and further ancillary areas, all built in compliance with DDA requirements.
The extensions were steel-framed buildings, enveloped with king span panels to provide high levels of insulation, along with the requirement to enhance the buildings ancillary areas with the introduction of natural light via Sun Pipes.
