Client: Galliford Try Rail
MPH Construction recently undertook the refurbishment of a Grade II listed railway station at Flint, North Wales for Galliford Try Rail.
The works comprised of the external re-roofing to the station and canopy roof, chimneystack refurbishment and decoration to all the external elevations.
Internally the ground floor accommodation was remodelled to form a disabled toilet, new ticket office and waiting area whilst the first floor accommodation was remodelled to provide office and conference facilities for the Taith Joint Transport Board.
The works were undertaken whilst the station remained operational with due regard being given to the health and safety of the contractors, rail staff and members of the public. The scheme was named UK Station of the Year at the prestigious National Transport Award ceremony.

Testimonial
"Throughout the work, they showed patience whilst sensitive work associated with renovating a Grade II Listed Building was resolved, and they contributed significantly to that task. As a practice we would have no hesitation in working with them again, and would recommend their appointment to other clients."
